This page has been set up as a social group to connect the mountainbiking community of Medowie, 25 mins North of Newcastle, NSW.
There is a singletrack loop out the back of Federation Drive / Coachwood Avenue with a 10km big loop and shorter loop options. The track is 100% singletrack and is clay based which provides a fast hard surface and heaps of traction for railing those corners. Perfect berms weave and flow through the tight trees and link the numerous trail obstacles such as log rides, ramp overs, jumps and man made berms.
All are welcome but please stay off the track after rain to prevent trail damage.
There is also some good fire trail riding to the North of Medowie in the Medowie Conservation area on the east and west of Medowie Rd.
Just up the road a bit further is the Wallaroo Conservation Area which has more hills, fire trails and singltrack to explore.
